Aomori's Soul Sauce "Gen Tare", Stir-Fried till Fragrant — Ou Banquet's Gen-Tare Stir-fry

Ou Banquet Gen-Tare stir-fry

No Aomori table is complete without "Stamina Gen Tare".
At Ou Banquet we use the original Gen Tare made by Kamikita Nosan Kako in Aomori, stir-fried until fragrant in our popular snack, the "Gen-Tare Stir-fry".

Aomori's soul sauce, "Stamina Gen Tare"

"Stamina Gen Tare" is an all-purpose sauce created in the 1960s-70s by Kamikita Nosan Kako in Kamikita District, Aomori.
Generously made with Aomori-grown apples, garlic, onion and ginger, it is Aomori's signature seasoning, known for its soy-based richness and natural sweetness.
Suiting meat, fish and vegetables alike, it is "the bottle found in every home" across the prefecture.

Umami drawn out by fragrant stir-frying

Our Gen-Tare Stir-fry is built on pork, bean sprouts and onion, finished with seasonal vegetables.
The sauce's sweet-savory umami clings to the pork fat, while crisp vegetables add accent.
Stir-fried quickly over high heat, it gains fragrance and depth — a plate that makes the drinks flow.

Cabbage, green peppers, garlic chives — the vegetables change with the day's market.
Feeling the season's color and aroma is part of this dish's charm.

The taste of Aomori, in Akihabara

At Ou Banquet you can taste Aomori home cooking as it is, while in Akihabara, Tokyo.
The Gen-Tare Stir-fry harmonizes sweetness, umami and fragrance — a perfect companion for your drink.
Once you have tried this "scent of Aomori", you will not forget it.
